Unable to delete azure backup server protected item

I have an on premise azure backup server installed that I am trying to delete, but it is showing itself as a protected server in backup infrastructure. I am unable to remove it, my only option when right clicking is "Pin to dashboard". I have tried uninstalling backup server and the backup agent from the on premise server with no luck and am at my wits end with this nonsense.

Does anyone know how to force the removal of the backup server from Backup Management Servers when it is showing itself as a protected item in Protected Servers?

Based on the details you provided, I understand that you are unable to delete Azure backup server which is reflecting as protected.

For deleting on-premises protected items, you need to first delete the protected server from Azure portal and then delete the backup items from the management console (on-premise).
