Glad to hear this issue has been resolved and thanks for your sharing!
However, due to a recent update in forum policy, the question author now is not able to accept their own answers.
So I have written a brief summary of the solution this issue. Please feel free to accept it as the answer, which would benefit others who also has similar issues in forum.
Issue:
Using a 3rd party email client (already linked to Microsoft outlook) received the error:
A high-severity alert has been triggered
⚠ User restricted from sending email
Solution:
- Workaround 1: Select the vendor's company server (checkbox) so that the email will still be send out.
- Workaround 2: Use a different SMTP email to setup in the 3rd party apps.
