How to check windows edition upgrade in event logs

I want to know if there is any way to check the windows edition upgrade logs from event viewer

I have searched but only found the way to view log files from local disk

Is anyone know about this??

Hello,

General errors and warnings during the upgrade process are usually logged in the system log. In the tree view on the left, find "Windows Logs" -> "System".

For more detailed logs, especially related to the Windows Update service, you'll need to review the Applications and Services Logs -> “Microsoft” -> “Windows” -> “WindowsUpdateClient” -> “Operational”。

Thank you for the result

but when I see "Windows Logs" -> "System" there are countless logs
although we can filter it but I dont know which option to choose to see only windows edition upgrade logs

To filter the “System” logs in Event Viewer to see only Windows edition upgrade logs, you can follow these steps:

Open Event Viewer

"Windows Logs" -> "System"

Create a Custom View:

In the right pane, click on Create Custom View.

In the Filter tab, select the Logged time range if needed.

Under Event level, select Information (since upgrade logs are usually informational).

In the Event logs dropdown, ensure System is selected.

In the Event sources dropdown, select Setup (this is the source for Windows setup and upgrade events).

Click OK and give your custom view a name.

If you need more detailed logs, you need to check the update logs from local disk, please refer to this link:

But I dont understand even after creating new custom view I cannot see any windows edition upgrade logs at all
