    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

There is no way to hide the UWP app like a desktop app.

We wanted to retain previous UWP process which was active while closing the app rather than getting it restarted , so is there a way to retain previous UWP process ?

I have to say that there is no way to do that. When you close the UWP app, the process is closed.

otherwise is there a way to hide a UWP application from taskbar when closed ?

The UWP app icon will disappear from the taskbar when the app is closed. If I understand you correctly, what you want to get is to hide the UWP app icon in from the task and keep the UWP process live when user click the X button. This is not possible to do it.

    Thank you.
