Hi!

Microsoft has a lot of documentation about Passkeys regarding to Microsoft Entra ID.,

And not so long ago Microsoft introduced passkeys for consumers.

I tried setting up a passkey to combine with a passwordmanager like 1Password.

For consumers this is fairly easy and done within a few minutes.

But I can't seem to find any good information if this is available for M365 work-accounts.

I've enabled passkeys (fido2) but I don't really have any extra possibilities besides the Authenticator.

Setting up a passkey via 'my account' only prompts NFC or a hardware token, no other options are available next to the authenticator and default methodes.

Is the option to configure with a passwordmanager available for work accounts?

Does anyone have information or experience regarding this topic?

Best regards,

Tim

    https://learn.microsoft.com/entra/identity/authentication/how-to-enable-passkey-fido2

    Per the documentation:

"Microsoft Entra ID currently supports device-bound passkeys stored on FIDO2 security keys and in Microsoft Authenticator. Microsoft is committed to securing customers and users with passkeys. We're investing in both synced and device-bound passkeys for work accounts."
