Hi all,

I'm facing a weird issue with our Microsoft Teams voice calls.

I have 2 licenses,
Teams Essentials and Teams Phone with domestic calling (Zone 2) (phone set to local country Singapore)
Teams phone with international calling

The colleague using this license has to travel to Finland for 2 months. when she was tthere the first 2 weeks, her teams call works without any issue and just last week, the Team voice call failed.

Her phone show "Call not allowed from this location".

Don't her licenses allow her to make calls from Finland? Or we have to get another domestic license just to allow her to call out from Finland? This is sillly as she will be there only for a short while.

Do anyone have any solutions?

    Hi @Jonathan Er

According to your case description, you encountered the problem of "Call not allowed from this location", which may be related to the license and location settings. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the problem:

    • License restrictions: Some licenses may have specific geographical restrictions. Please confirm that your colleague's Teams phone license for international calls allows calls from Finland.
    • Location settings: Microsoft Teams may restrict calls based on the user's geographical location. Please check the location settings in the Teams admin center to make sure that there are no settings that block calls from Finland.
    • Network configuration: If your organization uses location-based routing (LBR), please make sure that her network in Finland is configured correctly. LBR may restrict calls based on the network the user is connected to.
    • Enable international voice: In the Teams admin center, make sure that the "Enable international voice" setting is enabled for the user. This can be done by following the steps below: Sign in to the Teams admin center with your administrator account. Navigate to Users > Manage Users. Find and select the user for whom international voice needs to be enabled. In the details page, select Voice > Calling Plan. In the calling plan settings, find and enable the "International Voice" option.

Thanks for your understanding and support.
