Microsoft Teams - Powerpoint syncing issues

Hi team,

Our organisation is using Microsoft Teams for preparing PowerPoint reports for our clients. Usually if there are only a couple of people in PowerPoint, we dont get syncing issues however, once a number of people (maybe over 5 people) are in the report, we get syncing issues. An example of syncing issues is as simple as someone deleting a slide and 2-3min later it re-appears.

As its a large organisation we are more than likely on similar but slightly different computers and versions of Microsoft tools. Also on some engagements we have team members in different countries quite possibly using different servers.

Can you please help advise what might be the issue we are facing and how we can solve this?

Thanks

Mike

    Hi @Michael D Gyton ,

How did you prepare PowerPoint reports in Microsoft Teams? Screen share or using Presenter View?

Do you have the same issue when using Teams web client?

According to your description, your issue seems related to your Teams sync. If you're having sync issues in Teams, a banner appears at the top of the app containing a Refresh link. Click the link to restart your app; you should be fully synced once everything is up and running again.

In addition, please try to sync your SharePoint and Teams file with your computer.

Thanks - this was good but can you lock out pages within PowerPoint? I.e. we would like to be able to lock the page so only one person is editing the page at a time rather than having the option for several people to edit?
