Why does MS use the term "AZ-900" when they do not list it, or even mention it in the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" page?

The issue is that we struggle to be clear with new employees with what certifications to take, when the page is listed as "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" but the training is listed as "AZ-900".

A simple mention of "AZ-900" on the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" page would solve it. Or is this a quiet way to change the name?

    Hello Myklebust Christian Rønning ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

The "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" certification is linked to the exam code "AZ-900." While this code isn't always highlighted on the certification page, it's the internal exam identifier Microsoft uses. To make it easier for new employees, you might want to let them know that passing the AZ-900 exam will earn them the Azure Fundamentals certification. Creating a quick guide or internal resource that explains this connection could also help clear up any confusion.

    Hi,

I believe that Every certification has a unique code to eradicate confusion, as examinations may have similar labels, which is why Azure fundamentals have AZ-900 as a code. I think 900 indicates fundamentals, as MS-900 is for Microsoft 365 fundamentals.

    So a code is necessary.

    I hope this helps.
