That's the issue we try to run these programs (e.g. setup.exe) diagnostic tool from Microsoft to Fix active directory sync errors. A little background, we upgraded Microsoft Entra AD sync tool for the hybrid environment. Downloaded the upgraded tool and we experience failures.. Typically, you can download the entire MSI package and do a clean install we ran the program and nothing happens. It seems like it's going to start to run and then nothing happens when you open task manager there are no programs running or idling..

Try running "setup.exe /?" or "setup.exe /help" in an admin command prompt. Typically, it will display a message box or command line output that shows all the switches that it supports. Look for logging options.

Have it write to a log file and then look in it for errors. Also check your Application and System event logs.
