Collaboration using LiveShare

My friend and I are working on a software project together. He created the folders, and we were using LiveShare on Visual Studio Code to collaborate on them at the same time. However, we found that I was not able to work on them anymore the moment that he logged off of Visual Studio. Is there a way to use LiveShare on Visual Studio so that a collaborator can edit a folder even if the creator of the folder isn't logged on? If not, is there another service we can use to resolve this issue?

    Hi @S. Pandya,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

The signed in host is required. The host online needs to approve these guests to join the collaboration session or edit files.

Or you can consider pushing your project to GitHub to manage and collaborate your project. For more details, please visit: About Git in Visual Studio | Microsoft Learn

    Sincerely,

    Anna
