Hi! I want to install the Mendeley cite plugin for my Word 365, but the software doesn't support the Office 365 click-to-run version of Word. It works for other versions of word, but not 365. How can I get around this and NOT use a click-to-run version of word? Will the software plugin work if I purchase the Office package as a one off purchase, not a 365 subscription - can this be the solution? Please note that I am not talking about the cite add-in, but about the PLUGIN. I've seen the question asked before, but the answers talk about the add-in. The plugin has many more functions than the add-in.

Thanks in advance!

This is a Mendeley problem, not a Word problem. It is their job to set their software up to work with the versions of Word that they are supposed to. Mendeley is the Add-In. Plugin is just another term for Add-In.
