Windows PIN reset without internet

Hi,

i recently downgraded my bios version through flashback because my motherboard/bios was not detecting my GPU. After this i was asked to change my pin, because of „system security changes“. After logging into my microsoft account, i was given the option to either keep my PIN or change it, so i kept it. Here is the problem now:

Trying to troubleshoot my latency issues on my PC, i disabled my network adapter and then restarted the PC. But this time i was asked to change the PIN again, which is very odd. But i can only change/login if i have internet access. And well… my network adapter is disabled, so i cannot do that.

Is there any way to enable my network adapter again or somehow bypass this prompt?

Thank You

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

There are some steps we can try in this scenario:

1.Boot your PC in Safe Mode and log into the system.

Go to the device manager and enable the network adapter again.

2.Open CMD window and run below command to enable the network adapter:

netsh interface set interface "Your Network Adapter Name" admin=enabled

3.Login by local account check if issue persists.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
