why the git command is unknown in powershell ?

I use VS Code for learn .NET (under Windows 11).

In an example, the command : git clone https:// ... is rejected by powershell

It seems to be a Bash command, perhaps ...

would you please to help me ?

If the git command is unknown in PowerShell, it means Git is either not installed or not in your system’s PATH. To fix this:

Install Git from the official website.

Add Git to PATH: Ensure the Git bin and cmd directories are in your system’s PATH environment variable.

Verify Installation: Run git --version in PowerShell to check if Git is recognized.

This should resolve the issue.

When running Git commands in PowerShell, an "unknown command" error is usually because PowerShell can't find the Git executable.

Run the following command in PowerShell to check if Git is available:

git --version

If Git version information is returned, Git is installed and configured correctly.

In the command line, you can use Git's built-in help function to view the usage of the command:

To view all the main commands of Git, you can run:
