Duplicate/Extend Screen

When I extend my screen it forces all open windows to my monitor (Which is my 2nd screen, not main screen) and I want it to force all open windows to my laptop (my 1st screen, my main screen)

This way I just drag what I want to share onto my monitor which is easier to work with and I don't run risk of sharing things I don't want to.

I know there is the "remember window location" toggle but that doesn't work for me as I share different things each time.

I can't understand why open windows are forced to the monitor/2nd screen over the 1st/main one... that seems as if something was set up wrong!!

Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Claire,

Thanks for your post. If you want to launch a program on a specific monitor, please firstly make that monitor your primary display by following these steps:

    • Go to Windows settings by pressing Win + I.
    • Click on System.
    • From there, select Display.
    • In the “Multiple Display” section, select your desired monitor.
    • After selecting your monitor, check the box “Make this my main display,” and you are done.

     Best Regards,

    Ian Xue

Thanks for you comment. That seemed to be working, BUT on a re-start it has reverted to moving everything to my monitor again ;-(
