Azure AD Session timeout

Hi Team,

Whenever I'm logging into portal.azure.com I'm getting the error:

**Session expired
We saved your work. Click 'Try again' to reload portal.

Debugging information**

Can we control the session timeout for Azure portal for admins ? It's getting session timeout very frequently in less then an hour itself.

What could be the possible cause here for this behavior ?

The Azure Portal session timeout is influenced by token lifetimes, which are managed by Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Token lifetimes define how long access and refresh tokens remain valid. By default, Azure AD applies system-controlled defaults for token lifetimes, but some configurations can be adjusted using Conditional Access policiesor legacy token lifetime policies.

Sign-in Frequency: Conditional Access policies can enforce how frequently users must reauthenticate, indirectly impacting token lifetimes.

Steps to configure:

Navigate in Azure Portal to Azure AD > Security > Conditional Access.

Create or edit a Conditional Access policy.

Under Session Controls, set Sign-in frequency.

Are you getting the message immediately or after a specific amount of time? What's the below "idle timeout" setting set to on your side?
