Can I Delete Teams Chat for both Participants?

Question

Is it possible to automatically remove the chat history for both participants of a chat at the end of the day?

I can see that I can delete my conversation history manually, but that doesnt delete my messages in the other participants team chat and I have to do it repeatidly.

I dont want to delete all chat history for all people in my tenant, just single 1 to 1 conversations.

One-one-one chats, group chats, and meeting chats can all be deleted from your chat list.

1. From Chat on the left side of Teams, go to the chat you want to delete and select More options  then select Delete .  
2. Select Delete.  Once deleted, the conversation history will be permanently removed and the chat will be deleted from your chat list. When this happens, you won't be able to search for messages that were part of the deleted chat thread.

When you delete a one-on-one chat:

• The chat will be removed from your chat list. However, the chat will remain for the other person.
• If you delete a one-on-one chat, the other person won't know that you've deleted it.
• Deleted chats are removed from all your devices and aren't searchable.
• If you sign out of Microsoft Teams (free) and then sign in again, all previously deleted one-on-one chats remain deleted.
• Exported Microsoft Teams (free) information or data doesn't include previously deleted chats.
• Any attached files, messages, and links shared in a chat, will remain accessible to the other person in the chat. You can remove access to the previously shared files by changing permissions to the file.
• Shared content including tasks and calendar items might not be deleted. To delete any of those items, you'll need to do so manually.
• You can still search for the person that you were chatting with. If you start a chat with that person again, you’ll see a new chat (without conversation history) while the other person will see the complete history of your previous conversations with them.
