How can I get the pdfs I have saved on my computer to open properly when using a workspace?

I started using edge workspaces for my academic research, so I have to have several downloaded pdfs of scientific articles open all the time, but when I close edge and reload the workspace the tab where the pdf should be loads empty. I want to know if this problem can be fixed or what options are there?

I reproduced this on my computer. In fact, in addition to PDF, "edge://" will also be like this. They will be replaced by new tab. Please note that this is the default behavior of workspace, and it is not an issue. The original intention of Edge Workspace is to share, and it cannot be used to share local files. You can refer to this link to view this information. And I can now give you the following two suggestions:

1. You can add the PDF that needs to be opened all the time to "Favorites", so that the next time you reopen the workspace, you can open the required PDF with one click (this is what I did in the test).
