Microsoft Authenticator App not working

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue with the authentication process for my Microsoft account. When I click on the link to access a familiar SharePoint, I am prompted to enter a code into the authenticator app. However, the app does not seem to be paired with my account (it was linked to my account last week and I was able to complete the authentication process).

And when I try to link the authenticator app to my organization account, I am again provided a code to enter into the very same authenticator app, which creates a loop. 

Additionally, when I click on "security info" in order to view my account's qr code, I encounter the same problem.

Could anyone please assist in troubleshooting this issue? I have attached a visual below.

Note: My Microsoft account is with my work place and the SharePoint is managed by an external organization partner.
