Creating a Dedicated SQL Pool, no option to use a sample data source

Step 5 of the documentation that I linked below tells the user to select "Sample", for Use Existing Data. I am following this documentation and I do NOT have an option to select "Sample". My only options are "None", and "Backup".

How do i enable the Sample option?

    Hi @David Stump
Thank you for reaching out and providing details about the issue you’re encountering.

Based on internal information, it appears that the option to select "Sample" for the Use Existing Data in Step 5 of the documentation is no longer available. This seems to be a documentation issue, and the guidance will be updated accordingly.

As a workaround, you can create a sample database and restore the tables using scripts. You can use the following resource for creating the sample database and obtaining the necessary scripts: AdventureWorks Sample Database Creation Scripts.

These scripts should help you set up a sample database in your Synapse dedicated SQL pool.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
