Process Explorer Virus Total functionality not working

To whom it may concern:

The Process Explorer "Virus Total" column functionality is not working correctly. Most of the processes are displaying "Unknown" even after clicking the check menu item 'Options -> VirusTotal.com -> Submit Unknown Executables'.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Process Explorer with no success. Multiple antivirus scans from several different providers have come back negative.

What is causing this issue and when will it be resolved?

Same problem. Yesterday it listed all processes as "unsupported device" or some such. Today, after "hash submitted" all processes are listed as "unknown"

And some time later (but I had to cancel because it was taking too long.)

Anybody feeling like contacting VirusTotal, I do not know. Is it that this way of accessing their service can cause overload on their systems and they want us out? I am clueless.

AMD Ryzen 9 platform now, Windows 11 Pro. If you experience an error message indicating Autoruns is unable to connect or produce information from VirusTotal, you can fix it by yourself deleting from the Registry all the entries related to VirusTotal and Autoruns, and restarting the computer. I also deleted any other remaining information stored in the C:\ drive, like prefetch information, just in case. The next time you run Autoruns, and you request the VirusTotal scan column, you will be asked to read and accept the legal agreement. Apparently, those measures are enough to make Windows forget it had a problem with VirusTotal "or Vis versa."

Remark: I can only run Autoruns ONCE A DAY by computer ... otherwise, I get an error message anyways.

For some reason the problem resolved itself for me too.

I believe it may be the limited requests for hash analysis that virustotal imposes and I ended up being blocked from using it.

That's what it says in their post. I don't know if this is the case, if anyone knows please let me know.

The 4 requests/minute limitation of the Public API is too low for me, how can I have access to a higher quota? – VirusTotal

other methods you can do.

runs as admin
download a new version of the program
check if can acesse the site o virustotal.com if not the problem can be your dns. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-reset-the-hosts-file-back-to-the-default-c2a43f9d-e176-c6f3-e4ef-3500277a6dae

Anyways, even if all the scans from all the scanning programs say the system is clean, I have found the only solution to make sure you are back to normal is to refresh the system preserving installed applications and user data. A daily VirusTotal scan is advisable.
