Unable to add Hotmail email to authenticator app, while not being able to delete old account.

The Microsoft Authenticator App, does not allow me to add my personal Hotmail account, and when I try to get a QR code from my desktop it does not show up. Also I am not able to remove my old work account. I need this urgently.
