    Hello Namohar Munichandrappa,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Vector Search in Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL is currently in preview and has some limitations. Based on the error message you received, it appears that Vector Search is not compatible with Continuous Backup at this time.

The Vector Search preview in Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL has several limitations: it doesn’t support Continuous Backup, only works on new containers, and can’t be used with shared throughput databases. It’s also incompatible with Analytical Store, Customer Managed Keys, Storage Analytics, and the All Versions and Deletes Change Feed.

To enable Vector Search for Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL, start by navigating to your Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL resource page. From there, go to the "Settings" menu and select the "Features" pane. Choose "Vector Search in Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL," read the feature description, and confirm your interest in enrolling in the preview. Finally, select "Enable" to complete the enrollment.

Agreed with @hossein jalilian 's answer above. Vector is in preview, and you can enroll for the vector search preview feature.

According to the doc https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/nosql/vector-search continuous back up is not supported with Vector search.

It might be in the future, but I am not sure if it in the product group future plan.

Feel free to submit this feedback on the azure cosmos dB feedback page at https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/search/79b1327d-d925-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f06a4?q=cosmos+db
