Hello yad pishtewan,
It's understandable that you might feel a bit disappointed if you were looking forward to using Cortana after purchasing your Windows 10 PC, only to find that its role has been reduced or it's not as prominently featured as it once was. While it's not possible to bring back Cortana to its previous state due to Microsoft's strategic decisions, there are still ways to interact with it for productivity tasks.
Microsoft decided to discontinue Cortana as a standalone app to focus on more advanced AI technologies. They retired Cortana in Windows and other platforms throughout 2023. Instead, Microsoft is now emphasizing new AI-powered tools like Microsoft Copilot and other integrated AI experiences across different products and services.
Microsoft Copilot: The new AI-powered Bing lets you ask complex questions and get concise answers from reliable sources on the web. You can type or speak your questions and Microsoft Copilot will give you a succinct answer citing multiple trusted sources.
Copilot for Microsoft 365: This is a new feature that uses AI to turn your words into a powerful productivity tool. Copilot uses your Microsoft 365 data—such as your calendar, emails, chats, documents, and meetings—to help you create, edit, share content, and more. Copilot adheres to Microsoft’s AI principles and Responsible AI Standards to ensure your data is secure and private.
