How can I retire a server that is currently the Distribution Point (DP) role holder for SCCM? What is the process for removing the old DP and migrating all content to a new DP server, so that clients can request content from the new DP?

I would bring up the new DP, deploy all packages to this DP and make sure that it is working.

Then I personally would remove all package from the old DP. Wait a week then remove all roles from the server. Wait a week then turn it off.
