Please i need your help on this issue.

I need to set up Microsoft Word normal template to different default settings.

I am not able to change my normal.dotm Microsoft Word Template so I can change the default startup settings for any documents that I create in Word, such as No Spacing and Narrow Margins

You should be able to change the default margins in Normal.dotm with the following steps:

1. Create a new document.
2. Choose Layout>Margins>Custom Margins and set the margin measurements.
3. Click on the Set as Default button. This copies the margin settings to Normal.dotm.

To change a style default, follow these steps:

1. Create a new document.
2. Open the Styles Pane (Ctrl + Shift + Alt + s)
3. Click on the Manage Styles button at the bottom of the Styles Pane
4. Select the No Spacing style, then click on the Modify button.
5. In the Modify Styles dialog, click on the option New documents based on this template. This saves the changes to Normal.dotm.
6. Using the Format dropdown, change the characteristics of the style. OK out when you're finished.
