@Rahul Sukumar , For our issue, based on my research, sometimes old version MP will cause issue. Here are some links for the reference:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/system-center/vmm/integration-error-10218
https://www.mrchiyo.com/troubleshooting-opsmgr-to-vmm-connection-error-10218/
Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.
Here, we suggest to check if there's any old version MP there. If yes, remove them.
To integrate VMM with Operations Manager, we can refer to the following article:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/vmm/monitors-ops-manager?view=sc-vmm-2019
Hope it ca help.

The latest version of the Windows Server Operating System Library MP (10.1.0.2) was already installed. The VMM version is 2019. I installed the other components from this download: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54303. The same error still appears.
I should add that this a completely fresh install of SCOM 2019 and SCVMM 2019. All components are running Server 2019 Standard. Any further suggestions?
@Rahul Sukumar , Thanks for the reply. I have dome some more research. And find some issue mentioned antivirus software can affect. We can check on both the SCOM and SCVMM servers to see if we have such software used. If yes, try to turn off it and see if the result will be different.
@Crystal-MSFT The only AV on both machines is the Defender security, which I disabled on both machines. It still failed.
I also disabled the windows firewall and that didn't make any difference either.
@Rahul Sukumar , Thanks for the update. The issue is a little strange, Please try to manually Import all the VMM MP’s located under “C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center\Virtual Machine Manager\ManagementPacks” on the VMM server to SCOM and see if the issue can be fixed.
Hope it can help.
OK I think I might be getting somewhere. I had previously imported the MPs from that directory successfully. Since then I may have installed CU2 on both machines. Now when I try to import the MPs from that directory I get a lot of dependency failures (even though when importing I selected to search online for dependencies).
I can't locate the dependencies anywhere online. Could you please provide me with a link? See attached screenshot.
@Rahul Sukumar , Thanks for the reply. Try to remove all the related MPs and import these that are existing in the directory and see if the same error exists. If yes, click error to show more details.
@Crystal-MSFT Not quite sure I understand. Do you mean remove the dependent MPs when clicking the error link under the "Status" column, and remove the dependencies there like in attached screenshot?
@Rahul Sukumar , We can filter the imported MPs according to the "Date imported" right click theses MPs and choose delete. Before doing this, a backup is suggested.

Ok I seem to have resolved this but I don't know why... I setup a new SCOM server with new DB. Then I installed the MP from here:
https://systemcenter.wiki/?Get-ManagementPack=Microsoft.Windows.InternetInformationServices.2008&Version=6.0.7600.0
Then ran the integration wizard from the VMM server and it finally installed with just a few warnings, 25490 "This might be caused by Operations Manager not monitoring one of the Hyper-V hosts or the Virtual Machine Manager Server. "
This is probably because it's a new setup and I have not setup monitoring of the hosts yet. I'll keep you posted if I run into any more issues.
@Rahul Sukumar , Thanks for letting us know the latest status. I am glad to hear that the issue is resolved. Congratulations! For the warning, I agree with you. we can setup monitoring to see the warning will go away.
Thanks for your time and have a nice day!
