Unable to enable Macros to run excel spreadsheet

Question

Hi all I am trying to use an excel spreadsheet from the government website for hazardous waste returns, but the macros are blocked so I cant use it. I have the government website in my trusted sites but it still keeps blocking the macros, any suggestions please? TIA

Is there any error message when the macros are blocked?

I suggest you download the spreadsheet, make sure the location is one of Office Trusted Locations.

Then right-click on the spreadsheet, click "Properties", under "General" tab, Unblock this file.

Hi thank you for your reply unfortunately your suggestion doesn’t appear as an option. I think the answer maybe in macro settings I just don’t know which setting as allowing all macros to run is not recommended.
