Hi Team,

We are in need of extracting stamps, signature from a form along with other field data. We checked the latest Generative models in document intelligence, can you please let me know if there any ways in which signatures, stamps can be extracted from a form using the latest models in form recognizer. Thanks for your help

@Sriramsubramaniyan Nadarajan Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

    .

You can extract signatures and stamps from forms using the latest models in Azure AI Document Intelligence, specifically with the Form Recognizer service.

    • Signature Detection: Azure AI Document Intelligence can detect signatures in the documents using the document intelligence custom template model. However, Signature field (field type) in custom models generally detects if a signature exists in the specified field and returns value as signed/unsigned. User's image
    • Stamps Extraction: While there isn’t a specific pre-built model for stamps, you can use the custom template model to train Form Recognizer to detect and extract stamps from your documents. This involves labeling the stamps in your training data and creating a custom model that can recognize these elements.
    • General Document API: The General document model combines powerful Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capabilities with deep learning models to extract key-value pairs, tables, and selection marks from documents. This can be useful for extracting other field data from your forms. More info here.

To get started, you can use the Document Intelligence Studio to test these capabilities and create custom models tailored to your specific needs.

Hope this helps. If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know. I would be happy to help.
