Create dynamic distribution group based on manager

Question

Hello,

In our org we would like to create a DDL based on manager. Ok this is easy, but I would like to have the DDL based on like a top manager, his all direct reports and it that is a manager with direct reports those all included in the DDL and so on, until there is no direct report.

Like this:

SVP of a group

• VPs
  • Top managers
    • Direct reports
  • People managers
    • direct reports

etc...

Basically I just would like to select the top manager and it would cascade below.

PS: can be O365 or onprem we have a hybrid.

There's no way to do "transitive" direct reports query like this, you will have to manually add each recipient. Alternatively, you can create DDL for each manager, then add them all to a "parent" DL.

If you add custom attributes for the basic DDL level, then you can create a DDL with higher level according to their custom attributes.
I'm not sure how your "Direct reports" works, would your explain it more?
