Unhandled exception error with Dynamics 365 enabled

One of my user is having an issue in Outlook 2016 where if the Microsoft Dyanimcs 365 (2016) add in is enabled, Outlook will show the error box below.

    How long has this issue been happening?

    What else was done before this issue occurred?

    According to your description, I suggest you check if you have met the requirements of this article first. 

    If so, you can try to Deploy Dynamics 365 App for Outlook mentioned in the article above and then you can refer to Add the app to Outlook of this article to add the app to Outlook yourself.

    Also, if you're still having trouble with all of the above normal operations, try the following possible solutions:

    • Check for Updates: Make sure both Outlook and the Dynamics 365 add-in are up to date.
    • Repair Office Installation: Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, find Microsoft Office, and select “Change” or “Repair”. Follow the prompts to repair the Office installation.
    • Run Outlook Diagnostics: Use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) tool to diagnose and fix issues with Outlook.

    When using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (2016) add in add-in, there is an error message:

    Solution:

    The issue was resolved after reinstalling CRM add-in for Outlook.
