Document Intelligence instance will still work after an upgrade from storage account upgrade from v1 to v2?

Currently the storage account used by our document intelligence is Storage (general purpose v1). I need to be sure if I upgrade the storage account to StorageV2 (general purpose v2) it won't somehow break document intelligence instance and all associated models?

Hello Andrew , Welcome to MS Q&A

Yes, Azure AI Document Intelligence should continue working after upgrading your Azure Storage account from v1 to v2. The upgrade typically improves performance, security, and features of the storage account, but it does not directly impact services like Azure AI Document Intelligence, as long as the storage account remains accessible and the configurations (e.g., access keys, SAS tokens, or connection strings) are updated correctly if necessary.

But before proceeding with the upgrade, it's recommended to validate the impact in a non-production environment to ensure that the document intelligence instance and associated models continue to function as expected after the upgrade .

In conclusion, while upgrading the storage account to general-purpose v2 It's a good practice to test Document Intelligence workflows after the upgrade to confirm everything works as expected.

For more detailed instructions and considerations related to upgrading storage accounts, you can refer to the Microsoft Azure documentation on storage account upgrades.
