Issues with deploying application to Flex Consumption Apps

I have an Azure DevOps Pipelines "AzureFunctionApp@2" task which works fine for normal Consumption Plans. However, when I try to deploy to FlexConsumption Apps this does not work. I have added "isFlexConsumption: true" to the task, but I get the following error:

##[error]Failed to deploy web package to App Service.

##[warning]Can't find loc string for key: KuduStackTraceURL

##[error]KuduStackTraceURL https://funcname:***@funcname.scm.azurewebsites.net/api/vfs/LogFiles/kudu/trace

##[error]Error: Error: Failed to deploy web package to App Service. Not Found (CODE: 404)

@Chris Gray/Hardik Shah Could you please check whether you are using zip deploy or one deploy in your deployment task.

Since Flex consumption functions support one deploy instead of zip deployment as mentioned here in this documentation here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-functions/functions-deployment-technologies?tabs=windows#one-deploy

It seems the AzureFunctionApp@2 task might not fully support FlexConsumption plans yet, even with isFlexConsumption: true. Try switching to Run-From-Package deployment or using the Azure CLI for deployment as a workaround. The error suggests Kudu might not be the right deployment endpoint for FlexConsumption.

When setting:
isFlexConsumption: true and appType: 'functionAppLinux', the error disappears. However, I had to copy the host.json file as part of my pipeline. Another easier way I got it working is using AzureCLI@2 with:
func azure functionapp publish <FunctionAppName>

Flex consumption is Linux-based; ensure your codebase is tested in a Linux environment, such as a Linux container.
