Is there a successor / follow up to MS Image Composite Editor

I saw how great Microsoft Image Composite Editor 2.0 from 2015 handles panoramas. I want to get it, but encountered that the 'Project is Closed' and it's no longer offered even 'as-is'.

Has a successor product been worked on that we could download?
