Hi,

When Users need to send a long message, they need to expand on the composer box before typing the message which is frustrating.

Are there any plans to have the composer box automatically appear so Users don't need to expand it?

At present, Microsoft Teams does not automatically expand the message composer box for long messages. However, Microsoft frequently updates Teams based on user feedback, so this feature could potentially be included in future updates. In the meantime, here are a few workarounds that might help:

    1. Keyboard Shortcut:

You can press Shift + Enter to add a new line without sending the message. This expands the composer box and can make typing long messages easier.

    1. Use the Format Button:

Click the "Format" button (it looks like an "A" with a paintbrush) below the composer box. This will open a larger text input area with additional formatting options.

    1. Draft in a Separate Document:

Type your message in a text editor (like Notepad or Word) and then copy-paste it into Teams. This avoids the need to manually expand the composer box in Teams.

If you want to follow up on this feature request or suggest it, you can visit the Microsoft Teams UserVoice page or the Microsoft Feedback Hub, where you can provide feedback and see what improvements might be coming up.
