Problem Connecting a device to Entra ID

Hello. I am trying to connect a device (laptop) to my domain, say xxx.com. I am logged into my device using a personal microsoft hotmail account. I have followed the instructions detailed in:

and I see the device in the Entra ID device list as "unmanaged" and "registered". On my device, under Settings - Accounts - Access work or school, I see it connected to the xxx domain. However, when I try to switch user and log in using my domain credentials (email + password), I get the error "user name or password in correct". Under log-in logs of Azure, there are no failed attempts for Windows log-on.

Could you please check the below
Verify that you are entering your domain credentials in the correct format. Typically, this would be DOMAIN\username or username@domain.com.
Check your device is not properly joined to the domain by referring dsregcmd command
