Azure smtp configuration

Hi! My company uses Post SMTP for our Wordpress site and it's set up through App Registrations. Is it possible to change what address is used to send the emails? I'd prefer it to be our info address but currently it's from my address. It's set up in Post SMTP to be the info address but today I saw in my sent folder that it's being sent from my address. I have added the info address as an owner, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I am not sure this has anything to do with App Service which here is just the host and supports SMTP on port 25; it sounds like the actual mail sending is working OK but the configuration may not be quite correct for the plugin

You dont say which provider you use and the config is going to be slightly different for each but they all should support a "from" address

Hi @Ben Gimblett ! Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. The strange part is that the info address is set up as the "from" address in the plugin Post SMTP. But still it's being "sent" from my address.

The info address is set up as the from address in the Post SMTP settings and show up as the sender in Outlook. Yet they're being "sent" from my address and show up in my sent folder in Outlook.

Hi -
This is a little beyond my area of expertise. So my comments now are best-guesses:

I'm assuming then that the postman plugin is configured against o365 (the cloud version of exchange)

From what I have read it sounds like using smtp via o365 can differ from other services in that it does save items to "sentitems"
If you are seeing sent items in your accounts "sent items" folder then I presume that's the account you configured with the plugin (possibly at the authorization step)

It may be possible to change the config to avoid this , or , you could use an account that is not your own (an "account" represents a services or individual mailbox on exchange and is not the same as setting a "from" address)

If you are indeed using o365 for the smtp - you could try re-asking with the a different tag relating to o365/exchange/email :)
