Hi,
This is a page that opens, I believe, when you press F1. Please press Fn+Esc key once to toggle the function lock.
Let me know if this works and get rid of it.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have a user that every time she logs into Windows 11, Edge opens with an ad. At the end of the day, she closes all programs and then the screen saver is set to log her out. It only comes up at the beginning of the day. It does not come up if she logs out, and logs back in the same day. The picture below is an example of such as ad.
I've turned off all the notifications I can think of. For a while, it was telling the user about Windows backup. I disabled the Windows Backup service on that one. For the other ones, I turned off starting Edge on startup. That didn't work. She is not clicking on the Lock screen which sometimes has links on it. I'm out of ideas. This is driving her crazy, so please let me know your ideas. Thanks!

In Windows search for the Startup
app and then run it. Scan the list of apps that will auto-start when you log in. Remove any that shouldn't auto-start.
Go to Edge and then settings. Go to Start, home and new tabs
. Check what page Edge starts up in. It is potentially the page you're seeing. But if it were that then closing Edge and reopening it would pop up this page again.
Go to the Wallet settings and clear out anything that auto-populates the buying, checkout, etc information.
Under Privacy, search and services and then Personalization and advertising uncheck the allow MS to save your browsing history so it doesn't personalize things.
Optionally under services review all the settings to see which ones you may not want. You might want to do the same thing for Sidebar.
Finally, be aware that MS has been testing ads in Windows for a while now. My understanding was it was only for Insiders but I don't know for certain. There is no way to know, if you're in that circle, whether it has been turned on for you or not. If you are an Insider then that could be the cause as well.
