Morning,
We are updating the Config Mgr on our 2016 Server from 1906 to 2006 and have a SQL Native client TLS version Warning that we would like to deal with before updating.
I have read lots about the SQL Native Client for SQL 2012 versions and the current, servers involved have the following Native SQL Clients installed currently.
XXXXXXXX Windows 2016 Server Config Mgr Primary Server 1906 Native SQL Client version 11.0.2100.60
XXXXXXXX Windows 2016 Remote SQL 2016 Standard DB Server for SCCM SQL Native Client version 11.3.6540.0
The plan is to update the XXXXXXX SCCM Server SQL Native Client to the latest version and we are hoping that will work wit the current version on the SQL 2016 version.
Cheers any help would be great as SQL Experience is limited

    Hi @Ian Spencer ,

If you want to enable TLS 1.2, you need to install SQL Server 2012 Native Client – QFE, which is latest servicing update available for the SQL Server 2012 Native Client. Note that Microsoft will not be releasing a SQL Server 2014 or later version of the SQL Server Native Client. The SQL Server 2012 Native Client can continue to be utilized by SQL Server 2014 and later versions. You can download it from here.
In addition, please refer to TLS 1.2 support for Microsoft SQL Server which might help.

    Best Regards,
    Amelia
