Hi,

We have bought Window ATP for our servers. Now Microsoft has added Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Server licenses on our O365 portal. The servers doesn't have users in O365. How do I need to assign these licenses to our servers?

    I believe this is solved:
    Our supplier has confirmed that we do not (can not) assign licenses to the servers - we just need to ensure that we have purchased the correct amount.

    Hi @Stijn ,

    There is multiple ways to onboard your Windows Server 2019 machines to Windows Defender ATP, using a local script, GPO, MEMCM (SCCM) etc, for more details:

    Hi @Youssef Saad

    Thanks for the answer. SO if I see it correctly, I don't need to assign these licenses to the servers?
    We just need to buy the licenses to be covered?

    @Stijn
    Hi,
    By integrating Defender for Endpoint with Security Center, you'll benefit from the following additional capabilities:

    Security Center automatically enables the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint sensor for all Windows servers monitored by Security Center. Except for those that are running Windows Server 2019, which must be onboarded via local script, Group Policy Object (GPO), or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM).

    Hope above information can help you.

    @Youssef Saad

    I onboarded the devices through the SCCM onboarding file. I see the servers in the console but my licenses Microsoft Defender Endpoint for servers is not decreasing.
