I cannot login to my AVD. Sign-in logs show a successful login, however login window says check username and password.

    Hi DSAA Admin,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

Based upon your query, there could be several reasons preventing login to Azure Virtual Desktop, even if the sign-in logs show that authentication was successful. First, the user might be entering the wrong username or password. It’s also possible that their account is locked due to too many failed attempts

Another issue could be related to permissions the user may not have the necessary access to the correct host pool or application group. If multi-factor authentication is enabled, they might not be completing the second step correctly, it’s important to check that the session host is running smoothly

Finally, better to clear their local cache or try a different way to log in, like using the web client instead of the Remote Desktop Client. For more information, please refer this documentation

    Hi DSAA Admin,

Thank you for posting in the Q&A Forums.

    1. Verify username and password

Confirm accuracy: Make sure you enter your username and password exactly right, including case and special characters.

Password reset: If possible, try to reset your password via the “Forgot Password” or similar function and then log in with the new password.

    1. Check network connection

Network stability: Make sure your device is connected to a stable and reliable network.

Network configuration: Check if there are any network settings (e.g. proxy, VPN) that may interfere with the login process.

    1. Clear Cache and Cookies

Browser Cache: If you are accessing the AVD through a browser, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then try logging in again.

Application Cache: If you are logging in through an application, try clearing the application's cache or data (note that this will delete all locally stored data, including settings and possibly unsaved work).

    1. Check Account Status

Account lockout: Some systems lock accounts after multiple failed login attempts. Check if your account is locked and contact an administrator to unlock it.

Account permissions: Make sure your account has the appropriate permissions to log in and access the AVD.

    1. Check system logs

Login logs: Check the more detailed login logs for more information about failed logins. This may require administrator privileges.

System Logs: Check the system logs for any errors or warnings that may have affected the login process.

    1. Try different logins

Different devices: Try logging in on a different computer or device to troubleshoot a device-specific issue.

Different browser: If you are logging in through a browser, try logging in using a different browser.

    Best regards

    NeuviJ
