CoId={6942DD14-092E-0006-1B9E-55692E09DB01}: The user ******@domain.com connected from 156.185.34.64 but failed an authentication attempt due to the following reason: The connection was prevented because of a policy configured on your RAS/VPN server. Specifically, the authentication method used by the server to verify your username and password may not match the authentication method configured in your connection profile. Please contact the Administrator of the RAS server and notify them of this error.

Has anyone got this error before on windows server 2019?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

This problem may occur when the Client Connection Profile and Server Network Policy do not match the Authentication Protocol. I recommend that you refer to the methods in the following link for troubleshooting:

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/vpn-error-812-connection-prevented-because-of-a-policy-configured-on-ras-vpn-server#:~:text=If%20you%20want%20to%20fix%20Error%20812%2C%20The,Contact%20your%20Network%20Administrator%20Contact%20your%20VPN%20Provider.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best regards

    Zunhui
