For the last few weeks I've been bombarded by phishing emails. Simple, just block the sender right? Well I would, except they've somehow made it look like Microsoft is the sender, so when I click the block sender button, the email disappears for a second or two but then it's back. I'm reporting every one as phishing it's getting a bit tiresome now, you can't see who the sender is, it's like it's hidden, I can't seem to do anything to stop them. Thanks for this, I've tried logging in on the pc too and it's the same on there. It's like it won't let me add Microsoft to the blocked list? I've had similar ones before where they make it look like they're coming from my own email address and you can't block yourself. Not sure how they're doing it but it's really annoying!

Thanks for your response.It is recommended that you set up rules to remove these phishing emails to the junk mail or delete them directly

Thanks for your reply. I'm using outlook.com and when I try to make a rule for these emails, it just says "we can't create your rule right now. Please try again later" They all have hidden email addresses so can't see where they're actually coming from. It's so annoying, I'll probably just have to put up with it until they stop. Or stop using outlook, I don't get any of this on my Gmail account!

Thanks for your comments everyone. So I've troed blocking them, it's doesn't work. I can't set up a rule to block them as it doesn't work. I tried to set up a rule the blocks high importance emails, emails myself with high importance and it worked, straight into the deleted folder. Ten minutes later I have 3 more phishing emails, high importance.... sitting in my inbox! I give up.

Regarding the recommendation that you use a rule to remove it, you can choose to set the condition that the subject or content of the message contains keywords to remove it from the junk folder, for example, for the message I received that contains Microsoft in the subject or content, remove it to the junk folder.

As for reporting phishing emails, you may want to try again with reference to the article.

In addition, it is recommended that please take the following steps:

Contact your IT admin if you are on a work computer

Immediately change all passwords associated with the accounts

Report any fraudulent activity to your bank and credit card company

If this email address is not very relevant and important, you can also choose to cancel the account and register a new one.
