Entra registered, Intune joined? Sorry, but do you mean Entra joined and Intune enrolled? Also, how are you going about the setup?
Azure registration not working correctly
Hello,
We have an issue trying to get devices registered in Entra and Intune. The issue is that on some of the computers when we connect to office and enter creds they are entra registered and then Intune joined. But on others they create multiple devices one that is entra registered and then another that is Intune joined. The issue is that on these machines they cannot see the company apps portal.
Any advice is appreciated.

That said we have been registering the devices using connect to work or school, some have then listed join type as Entra Registered and under MDM they list Intune. Others dont list registered and just have Intune. We dont really want to hybrid join since we dont want to have new profiles created.

From your description, I know you have trouble in Azure registration and Intune enrollment.
To clarify this issue, please check the following.
1.Please check whether the users have been assigned Azure AD Premium license
2.If you just want the device register in Microsoft Entra ID and not enroll in Intune, please check whether the Automatic Enrollment is correctly configured.
For the duplicate device issue, when a device is connected to Entra as Microsoft Entra Registered due to a user selecting "Add account to Windows", and you enable Microsoft Entra Joined, the device will be connected twice to Entra, and you will see two different computer objects for the same device name. This is documented in the FAQ: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/devices/faq#why-do-i-see-a-duplicate-microsoft-entra-registered-record-for-my-windows-10-11-microsoft-entra-hybrid-joined-device-in-the-microsoft-entra-devices-list
This dual state issue can be caused by old device records existing in Entra and can be resolved by deleting the device in Intune and deleting all records of the affected devices in Entra, and then re-enrolling the devices. If your devices change names, then they could appear multiple times.
Please also check whether you have followed the Microsoft Entra Registered scenarios

Please check above information, if there is any update, feel free to let me know.
