New Outlook "More Apps"

Why is there a "More Apps" group in the sidebar of the new outlook with only 2 apps in there, and a bunch more blank real estate below that. Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the two dumb apps in the sidebar rather than making me click twice? Why do I have to have the apps there? What if I never, ever use powerpoint, but think it would be handy to have OneNote in the side bar instead? Why do I need a link to that in the side bar?

    Hi @kjh

    Welcome to our forum!

As i know: The "More Apps" group is designed to keep the sidebar organized and consistent across different Microsoft applications. This helps users quickly find and access the apps they need without cluttering the main sidebar.

It provides solutions to help you better interact with Outlook and complete tasks on your messages and appointments without leaving Outlook. Some Apps are installed by your email administrator, but you can install other ones from the Office Store. Please refer to the article and try to install an App from the Office Store.User's imageIn addition, you can customize the sidebar according to your needs by right-clicking icons > pinning frequently used apps.

    Hope it helps!

This does help. It's just really not intuitive. I should be able to click-and-hold to move things around.
