- If you have access to your old phone: Ensure you enabled backup on your old phone:
- Open Microsoft Authenticator on the old phone.
- Tap the three dots (top right) > Settings.
- Under Backup, check that the cloud backup (iCloud for iPhone, OneDrive for Android) is enabled.
- Restore on the new phone:
- Install Microsoft Authenticator on the new device.
- When opening the app, you should be prompted to Restore from backup.
- Follow the prompts to restore your accounts from the cloud backup.
- if you did not back up Microsoft on the old phone and you don't have access to your old phone: For each account (e.g., Microsoft, Google, etc.), log in using an alternate method (like SMS or email verification). Once logged in, follow the steps to re-enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for the account, then scan the QR code to add it to your new Microsoft Authenticator app.
