How to rdp to a computer with a usb wifi adapter

Hi!
I have a pc without a wifi card so I bought a tplink usb adapter (AC1300).
With an ethernet cable, I can rdp to the pc. However, with the wifi adapter I cannot. In both cases I do have internet access.
So far I tried deactivating Windows firewall but no positive outcome.
Could you help me?

Could you provide the error message? It's possible that the devices are not on the same network. You might want to consult with your network engineer to check this.
