How do I view a report of the SharePoint sites accessed by each user?

Question

Dear all,

• Can someone please advise me how I generate a list of the SharePoint sites each of our users access?
• In case of doubt, we are looking for the SharePoint sites accessed per user; not the users accessed per SharePoint

Any help is warmly appreciated.

I would recommend you to use SharePoint site usage. As a Microsoft 365 admin, the Reports dashboard shows you the activity overview across various products in your organization. You could refer to following document

Hi Steve,

Your questions can still have different interpretations:

1. Site where the user has accessed during a period of time as part of user activity, i.e. sites accessed by User#A during last 30 days.

I would recommend performing an Audit log search for the last 30 days for the activities performed by that user on SharePoint; Search the audit log | Microsoft Learn

2. Sites where the user has access permissions, independently of user activity.

You can get this kind of report using PowerShell: Get permissions including unique permissions up to item level including sharing links | PnP Samples
