    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community forum.

I have learned about the search index failure on your file server. May I know what is the error message and specific performance of the fault? Cannot start Windows Search service

You can take the following steps to collect error information and fix it automatically:

    1. Check the Event viewer:

Search Opens the Event Viewer to find specific error messages related to the search index. Before viewing Logs, enable View > Show Analytic and Debug Logs.

    1. Run search and index troubleshooters:

Click on Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

Scroll on the right and click on Search and Indexing and then click on Run the troubleshooter.

If you have any follow-up questions, please contact us.

    Best regards

    Jacen
