I wish to add my bot created using power virtual agent in teams as a team member in teams channel

Question

I have created a chatbot using power virtual agent in teams. I have got approval from the admin and now my bot shows up in the list of apps. I did see in the Microsoft documentation that the conversation with any app can be done only in a private chat however I still need the bot to be added as a team member in teams channel. Any suggestions on if any workaround is available for the same?
