Issues with requests to gpt-4o-mini, westeurope

For the region westeurope the gpt-4o-mini has just opened up, however we do not seem to be able to utilize the model at the moment due to an apparent internal error, server side. Either when making requests via code or even in the Dashboard itself using the "Chat" tab, we are unable to obtain a response. Upon every call we receive back the following: 'Backend returned unexpected response. Please contact Microsoft for help. | Apim-request-id: followed by a unique id'

Is anyone else in the westeurope region experiencing this issue or is it unique?

Could you confirm where exactly it is mentioned that model is opened in westeurope region?

As per the model availability page, gpt-4o-mini Version: 2024-07-18 is available in the following regions.

eastus

eastus2

northcentralus

swedencentral

switzerlandnorth

westus

westus3

Thank you for your reply and insight, I am working on the project also and we were aware before-hand that the model was not available in our region, however we were hence unable to deploy it in our dashboard. However about a week or two ago, it became available, I imagine now after viewing the table you send, that its intended to have opened up the "gpt-4o-mini - GlobalStandard" correct?

If not, I dont fully understand why the model has been set as available for us in the dashboard if it is not actually available in our region.

Do you know if we should indeed be able to access the Global Standard version and if so I assume that this means its does not hold the same level of privacy as the privately deployed models.

Model availability varies by region and capacity constraints. Yes, it is available in global standard and Global provisioned managed.

If not, I dont fully understand why the model has been set as available for us in the dashboard if it is not actually available in our region.

There could be a possibility that the model was available at the time of your deployment and might have been restricted due to capacity constraints.

You can deploy the models as per the model availability as mentioned earlier.

I would suggest you, Please check Azure OpenAI deployment types to know more about the differences.
